THE TELL-TALE HEART: A Savage Soirée

A cocktail party, a costume party and a masquerade ball, all on the night before Halloween.

Poe’s story is two thousand words long. A man kills an old man because he does not like the look of his eye, hides him under the floorboards, and then sits down with the police and listens to the noise coming up through the wood. For one night the whole downstairs becomes that room.

Live performers work the floor instead of a stage. Two cocktails are made for the evening and served on no other. Nobody sits down and nothing gets announced. You are standing three feet from the thing happening, holding a drink.

Masks and costume expected. Doors at 7:30, and the room is worth arriving early for.

Something under the floor is keeping time.
